Story Line
Inspired by the program “Anlatırsan Film Olur,” which reached 25 million people in the digital world, the film “I Want to Live” brings to the screen the tumultuous true life story of Sevgi Görmez, who has struggled to survive since childhood. For the first time, the life of an ordinary person has been turned into a film thanks to a program. Sevgi Görmez has fought a battle for survival with unique pain and struggle against betrayal and pure evil throughout every stage of her life, including her childhood. This film, spanning from the 1970s to the present day, illustrates a woman’s resilience in holding on to life and demonstrates how powerful a mother can be when it comes to her own children. It presents itself as a period film encompassing childhood and youth. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Yunus Şevik, “I Want to Live” is a drama that will remain as a symbol of hope and light for everyone, allowing you to witness the events through tears. Sevgi Görmez… a tragic story of a woman who, true to her name, did not receive the love she deserved.
