Dras Film Universal Inc.: Turkish Director and Producer Yunus Şevik founded this company in June 2024 in New Jersey, USA. With international successes achieved through his films made with his company “Dras Film Pictures” in Turkey and awards won from various places around the world, the Director & Producer aims to reach a broader audience with English-language films.
In line with the company’s objectives, Dras Film Universal Inc. has begun work on its initiatives and has taken its first step in the American cinema industry by shooting part of the Turkey-America co-production film “Kulyas 2” in the U.S. This project, in collaboration between Dras Film Pictures in Turkey and Dras Film Universal Inc. in America, is scheduled to be released in 2025.
Beyond the film industry, “Dras Film Pictures” also operates a YouTube channel producing documentary content that reaches millions of people every month. In the last 3 years, it has reached 80 million viewers on YouTube and received nearly 40 international awards for its films.
By launching the international version of this channel, Dras Film Universal aims to bring the same success to the global stage with English-language documentary stories and make its presence known worldwide.

Director's Biography
18 YEARS EXPERIENCED IN MAKING A MOVIE
Known by the nickname “Film Shooting Man” Yunus Şevik completed his primary education in his hometown of Konya before moving to Istanbul with his family, where he continued his school and life journey. Between 2003 and 2006, he worked as an extra in various films and TV series as a hobby. He enrolled in Newport International University for Business Administration and Anadolu University for Economics. In 2007, while continuing his education, he published a book titled “A Terrifying Book,” which he wrote over three years. In the early years of university, he became interested in filmmaking after being influenced by a friend who was creating editing and animation projects. In 2007, while studying business, he directed his first short film. After taking the university entrance exam at the end of the 2007 academic year, he was accepted into Beykent University’s Radio and TV Programming department. Dreaming of becoming a director, he left his Business Administration and Economics studies to focus on Radio and TV.
By 2015, he worked as an assistant director in various TV series and films. He began competing in festivals with the short films he directed. In the same year, his short film “The Scent of Sadness” was screened in the short film category at the Cannes Film Festival. The following year, he took on the roles of screenwriter, producer, and director for the first time in the internet series “Declaration of Property.”
In 2018, he directed his first feature film, Kulyas: The Cost of the Curse. Yunus Şevik’s directorial career continued with Korku Takvimi (2022), I Want to Live (2023), and Kulyas 2 (2024).
Our Upcoming Projects
Kulyas 2: “An International Universal Horror Film”
As Dras Film Pictures, part of the filming for “Kulyas 2,” which is being shot in Turkey, will also take place in the USA. We, as Dras Film Universal Inc., are handling the American production. This is a unique film, the first of its kind, to be shot in 2 countries, 4 cities, and 35 locations. It’s a universal project that delivers positive messages to the world. Notably, it will be the first horror film shot in America by a Turkish production. Director Yunus Şevik will contribute a distinctive film to Turkish cinema, American cinema, and world cinema. The film is expected to be released in 2025.
YouTube Documentary Film Projects
In 2022, we launched our YouTube journey in Turkey as Dras Film Pictures with the documentary project “Anlatırsan Film Olur,” reaching millions of people. We plan to implement the same system in the USA. Through the YouTube channel “Dras Film Universal,” we aim to grow the channel in America by producing documentary films and reaching a different audience. Our first project will focus on the life stories of individuals who have emigrated to America. These documentaries will highlight successful stories, brain drain, and life stories that benefit society and humanity. We are committed to making a significant impact, believing that what we’ve done before is a guarantee of what we will accomplish in the future.
Film Production Services in America
We are planning two different production services:
First: Providing production services to companies and individuals within America, meeting the visual needs of the American public in video and photography.
Second: Offering production services in America to companies filming in Turkey. Our goal is to contribute to the success of other films through these collaborations. Based on the anticipated revenue from these partnerships, we plan to undertake more projects. Bringing a production from Turkey to America involves significant costs, but our system aims to offer a solution by contributing to the arts at a lower cost. This way, Turkish film companies won’t have to deal with the hassle of bringing crews to America or visa issues, while also saving significantly on costs.
